Is anyone else stunned by the Democrats reaction to the end of the Mueller probe? I am shocked and surprised by something I never suspected; they believed the allegations accusing President Trump of “colluding with the Russians” to win the election.
Huh?! What?! You mean they thought this was real?!
Not once since Trump’s election night victory did I imagine for an instant the Left believed this story. I thought it was just sour grapes. I thought the “investigation” was just an attempt to throw a monkey wrench into the workings of the new administration and slow it down. And once the investigation turned up nothing the Dems would throw their hands up in the air and realize they had to come to terms with the reality of a legitimate Trump Presidency. Boy, was I wrong!
I never dreamed they thought any of this was real!
Mainly because, for the past two years, no one has ever been able to explain to me just what “colluding with Russia” meant. In other words, if President Trump made some secret deal with the Russians to steal the election, then how EXACTLY was this plot achieved? What were the steps involved? How was it implemented? What were the mechanics behind it?
I had friends and coworkers tell me the Russians, “hacked” the election. When I asked how, the response was always the same. “They hacked it.”
“But how?” I asked.
“They just hacked it.” was the common reply.
This is akin to me asking a friend, “How do I change a flat tire?” and the response being, “You just change it.”
Me; “Yes but how? What are the steps involved?”
My friend; “You change it.”
Me; “Wow! Thanks for the detailed set of instructions! That really cleared things up!”
If I Google, “How to Change a Flat Tire,” I get a detailed procedure with 18 steps on how to change a tire correctly. If I Google, “How did the Russians meddle in the 2016 Election” I get a link to a page with a convoluted explanation stating the Russians created hundreds of fake Social Media accounts used to promote Trump while simultaneously damaging Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
As if her personality and underhanded shenanigans weren’t enough to do that already. Why is everyone pretending she wasn’t a rotten candidate?
I work in IT, so I know a great deal about computers. You could say my knowledge of Networking, Internet Protocols and Hacking is above average. That being said, I cannot fathom how a foreign power would use technology (particularly social media) to affect our electoral system. And for one overwhelming reason; our national voting process is antiquated.
Our voting machines are ancient. Most built when TV was still black & white. Many counties across the nation still use punch cards or paper ballots. Some states use mail-in paper ballots. So the question is how did someone use 21st-century tech to mess with an outdated 19th-century process we should have updated decades ago?
Saying the Russians used computers to “hack our election” is like saying, “I’m going to use my laptop to hack into an Amish database in Pennsylvania and steal all their personal information!”
What’s the problem with that you ask? The Amish don’t use computers and have nothing close to a personal database system! THEY DON’T EVEN USE ELECTRICITY!
The entire supposition makes no sense. But since when has that stopped the Left?
Another example, when I asked a coworker to explain how Russia meddled with our elections, she said she was well read on the subject and knew how Trump’s false victory succeeded.
“It was Facebook ads,” she said.
Apparently, the Russians bought more Facebook ads than the DNC and used them to promote Trump over Hillary Clinton. But according to her, these Facebook ads had another purpose; they deliberately encouraged ‘White Supremacy.’ She claimed these ads pushed the idea that Trump was the “White Candidate” and Americans needed to vote for him or brown people would take over the country soon.
Where do I begin with this FLAWED explanation?
Facebook ads? Do people really make up their minds on who to vote for based on Facebook ads? If this was true then why doesn’t the DNC just quadruple the number of Facebook ads they purchase each election?
Half the electorate would have to be mindless zombies for this to work. They’d possess no opinions of their own, no ideas, no ideology or belief system. When I pointed this fact out to her, she saw no flaw with this theory at all since, according to her, most Americans are braindead zombies anyway, most with no will of their own. Keep something in mind, to her all Trump voters are slack-jawed deplorables. Monosyllabic Cro-Magnons who somehow managed to turn a computer on.
Translation: when you’re an elitist snob used to looking down your nose at the working class then an equally elitist explanation seems perfectly logical to you. “Of course, everyone but me is dumb. So any theory requiring the American People to have the IQ of a baboon is more than reasonable.”

And Facebook ads with an overt racial bias? I’ve been on Facebook for a decade and never seen such a thing. In fact, I am 100% sure such racist ads violate their terms of service and can’t get published.
This entire theory is PREPOSTEROUS!
Not to mention the fact Hillary Clinton is white. Did anyone notice that? How can Trump be the “White Candidate” when his opponent is Caucasian?
And where exactly were these racist Russian ads during Obama’s two terms in office? Indeed, if anyone were going to post such a thing wouldn’t 2008 have been the time to do it?
But once again, here’s the thing, my coworker believes it. She thinks this is sound logic.
As I stated previously, I’m honestly stunned anyone believed this in the first place. The Flat Earth Society has better arguments for their position, and we all know that’s nuts.
I know Republicans and Conservatives love to point fingers at Democrats and laugh at “how stupid they are” but I don’t find anything about this amusing or funny. If 30% of our population was unable to see through this hysterical piece of rubbish then what else are they capable of buying into?
I’m hearing allegations now that Mueller was, “in Trump’s pocket the whole time!” That he’s really a puppet, bought and paid for by the President. Twenty-four hours before the investigation ended, he was the hero of the Left. Now he’s a traitor? Stalin take the wheel!
I’ve seen Democrat Senators saying they still want to move ahead with Impeachment Proceedings. But on what grounds? On what charge? With what evidence?
Noted historian Victor Davis Hanson said recently, “We are on the verge of new dark ages.” The two-year investigation led by Robert Mueller makes the Salem Witch Trials look like a joke. I fear Mr. Hanson may be closer to the truth than any of us would like to admit.
