At first, I was willing to give Dr. Christine Ford the benefit of the doubt. I think something terrible did happen to her but time and trauma have left her memory faulty. It’s not unheard of for crime victims to identify the wrong person as their assailant.
But then I watched Stefan Molyneux’s take on the Kavanaugh hearings, and now I’m scratching my head. He has a lot of good points. According to her, this happened almost 40 years ago, and yet she shows up at the hearing acting like a fragile, damaged child who is made of porcelain, talking in that ‘little girl’ voice pushing the narrative she is a severely damaged adult.
It’s as if this alleged assault took place last week and not in the early 80’s.
So the Democrats are implying this incident had such a horrific impact on Dr. Ford’s life that she never recovered. Even decades later!
And yet we are supposed to believe absolutely NO ONE noticed this back in the 80’s when it happened?!!! If she was so damaged and traumatized wouldn’t it have been blazingly obvious to her friends and family at the time?!! Didn’t her parents ask her, “Hey, what’s with this talking like a little girl voice you’ve been doing since last Saturday night? It’s freaking me out. Are you ok?”
Young children are prone to hysteria; this is undoubtedly true for teenagers. She claims she was 15 when this assault happened. A crime so devastating she’s still dealing with the traumatic effects 36 years later. And yet immediately after this alleged attack, she went downstairs to leave, passing her “best friend” in the living room. Wasn’t she crying? Shaken up? In tears? Hysterical?
She also left her “best friend” alone in this house full of drunk, dangerous rapists. Remember, according to her testimony Ford was one of two girls at this party. By leaving she put her friend in one vulnerable position. It’s just a little hard to believe she didn’t grab her friend on her way out of the house and say, “C’mon! We are leaving!”
I’ve been alive a long time and know how people act in certain situations. This does not add up.
And how about the next day? Didn’t her parents notice a change in her behavior? Wasn’t she withdrawn or acting differently? Did she begin to exhibit signs of depression over the coming weeks?
Remember, according to her story she wasn’t actually raped. It was either attempted rape or a sever groping. Either one is something a 15 girl should never have to experience in her lifetime, but I’ve seen interviews with actual rape survivors. Women who’ve experienced far worst and they do not speak with this fragile tone of voice or natural effect.
By pushing these allegations, the Democrats have made a mockery of sexual assault and its victims. They claim to have the best interests of victims at heart but in actuality will turn anything they can into a political baseball bat to club their opposition with.
Quite frankly, it’s disgusting.
